Not exactly. He said the extra stop of light is not a practical benefit. I listed multiple practical benefits of the extra stop of light.

He mentioned the rendering quality of the 135L. Extra stop and more ambient lighting is a given, I would imagine. I'm pretty sure we are all talking about the same thing.

That said, I still prefer my 70-200 f2.8 IS MKII. It's just a more practical lens at weddings and I love shooting at 200mm.

I like that we are repeating the same thing over and over trying to say that is what he said. I think we can agree that they are all valid points, even if they have been said more than once.

i've got both, and find the V2 on the camera a lot more than the 135L. unless it's extremely dark i'll stick with the V2. now if it was the v1 vs the 135L that's a different story.

I am asking myself the same question - 135 or 70-200ii for weddings. The best would be to go to a local shop and try it on my body I guess. That being said, I feel a little silly always go to the same shop, testing a lens and buying it from a cheaper online store

I really need something with more reach than my Sigma 85 and leaning towards the 70-200 for versatility. But still, the 135 is giving such a unique look to the images.
