Interesting.
I take issue with the one guy stating that the "photographs are your buildings"
Rubbish!. Buildings are buildings, photographs are photographs. The 2d representation is a very biased and controlled endeavor, from the setting up of the tripod, to staging (if any), lens choice, lighting time of day etc. Often you come across a building designed from a single view point, and it tends to be a very shallow experience (money shot here!)
I wonder how the panel would react to the practice of cloning out of objectionable (to the photographer) building elements, sky replacement, lighting changes etc, practices that are mainstream and are generally accepted in our business.
A moot point i guess, as a photographer hired by Zaha Hadid is probably not going to clone, add lights or artificially edit her creation, but will hopefully be inspired to capture the essence of the building using context, inspiration, point of view, time of day and patience to accomplish the task.
