Default Shared computer. Can you ban me from G&N subforum?

Hi, everyone. I've just gotten a T4i and want to improve my trade. Someone recommended that I join POTN.

However, due to the fact that this computer is shared (and other personal reasons), I can't use really use this site until I can keep my account from accessing the G&N subforum with no way for my account to bypass (via an user setting and whatnot).

So requesting to be banned from even viewing the Glamour and Nude section seem to be the best method to do so. and THEN I can finally start using POTN a lot more.

If this is possible, Thank you, mods!

As I've mentioned, there are other personal reason why I need to have G&N subforum blocked for me. Also, having to log out every single time raises the risk of me forgetting to do so. Banning me from the subforum is a one step process, I'm assuming, so doing it once is a lot easier.

Send a PM to any moderator asking to be banned.

This very easy to do, please give them admin a few days to do it though as I know they are currently very busy.

Not true. Only an Administrator (essentially Tommy or Pekka) can do this. You'll have to wait for them to have time.

Thank you. I have messaged both of them on this matter. I shall be checking back once in a while to see whether this have been done or not. Once this is done, I'll be here a lot more. Looking forward to joining this community.

You know, if you have a solid password and log off the forum whenever you are away from the computer, there shouldn't be a problem.

I appreciate that the admins can do this, but I don't know why they would. It is pretty easy to just not click on that section if you don't want to be in there. And if you are on a shared computer, make separate profiles.

Some people have children who may access the same computer, some are old and forget things like passwords, some maybe using the computer in a shared environment, and some are just scared of naked people.

So what do they do with the rest of the internet? Still sounds like their problem to solve. But It's cool you admins/mods are so accommodating.

Lots of 10 year olds can break simple family security
Yes it is their problem but it is a simple enough request to honor to make their life easier.

...and if you absolutely need to have a password or encryption cracked, go find a 10 year old.

The rest of the internet can probably be blocked with parental control software. The G&N may not register with the software as obscene material because... it's a photography forum. It's cool to know that the Mod's will accomodate requests like this! Shows how great a community POTN is and how amiable our overlords are
