This.

Shot this the other day with 24-105L, usually just stick to primes but shooting handheld at 1/30s would of been impossible without IS.

Boring would not be how I describe the lenses listed. A lens is only boring if you let it bore you. In that case- let it go; or better yet- find a way to make it not boring!. There will be people that are perfectly happy with each and every lens in that list. I owned a variant or two of each lens with the exception of one- the 28-135. I still have two of them- the 24-105L and the 18-135 IS STM ( I gave away my other 18-135 IS - for free- to someone that I thought could give it a nice home.- not because I was bored with it- or disliked it- or anything else remotely like that- it needed a worthwhile home ).

As far as the silly idea of sticking the 50mm f/1.4 as the kit lens for each and every camera- again- a silly idea- maybe perfect for you- but in the real world- the world does not revolve around you. Thank- well, thank someone for that & that someone at Canon realized that too- thank them too... I would actually bet that Canon's camera sales would plummet if Canon made it their defacto kit lens! Most people prefer zooms- a fact that I am sure Canon is aware of. Or do you believe that Canon does not know what those that buy Canon products like or dislike ?

Most kit lenses are a compromise, between the costs of the camera, the build quality of the lens, lens' IQ, and the overall cost for the camera with 1 lens kit. Too high- and a lot more consumers walk away- to other offerings. Canon realizes this- thus selects lens for these purposes, and often discounts these lenses when sold together as a kit. As most new DSLR purchasers prefer zooms, most kit lenses sold are cameras with zoom (kit ) lenses. It's kind of like automobiles in that respect. Most automobile buyers prefer automatics- so when you go to a dealership- most cars on the lot- are automatics. Manufacturers and vendors attempt to sell what the buyer is interested in buying- not forcing something down their throats instead.
