Default Perseids

The weather forecast for tomorrow morning isn't too good for my location - clouding over at around 22:00 - so I decided to see what I could get tonight.

Shooting at f2.8, 20 seconds, ISO 1600, 11mm; aimed roughly at the zenith. Sat around for 10 minutes after everything was set up and saw two perseids, one of which was very bright and should have been captured quite well.

I'll leave it running for a couple of hours and see what I get tomorrow morning.

Awesome. I'll be free Sunday night. Might be cloudy here at home ... so I'll drive up to 3 hours if I can find clear skies. (crazy no?)

I'm going out tonight and letting my camera snap through the morning to do some star trails and a time lapse. Hopefully I'll get something good.

Either use an intervalometer remote or I have a 60D with the magic lantern firmware which has an intervalometer in it.

I have heard you can also put the drive setting on multi-shot and hold down the button to a remote but I haven't tried that.

Some sort of really cheap remote from EBay. Just set the camera up for continuous shooting and lock the shutter release on the remote.
