Have several shots I'd like to have made into canvas prints. Anyone know of a good place to get these?

I have seen a few that were done at Canvas on Demand and they looked good.

Try FinerWorks.com. I've been using them to fulfill my orders for a few years. They are quick, and helpful.

CanvasHQ did a superb job for a landscape print made for a client who was extremely satisfied.

Is it true that canvas prints causes the image to soften?

I think that the textured surface of the canvas does this (from the ones I have seen) .
In this case I feel they would not suit my ideals of wildlife/bird photography . There is a flip side though , I think that you could get away with an image being soft by printing it on canvas (sort of a disguise) . As I said , this is from the prints I have seen of friends work . |

What I was going to say We're getting ready to order 3 - 32" X 48", 6 - 24" X 36" to start. It seems their quality is top notch! I'll keep this thread posted with the outcome

Thanks for this. As a result of watching that video, I ordered a 16x24 canvas print of a landscape from my 2013 Christmas calendar (uploaded on Saturday, they request no more than 150ppi). The print arrived on Thursday evening and my wife and I are delighted with the result, already hanging in our dining room. Quality and color just as depicted in the video, all for $27 + shipping. I think that depends on how the canvas was printed and the material used in printing the image. I find that different companies have different quality of printing images to canvas.

Does this vendor http://www.cgproprints.com/home
only sell to "pro" Photographers? That's the impression I get from the website.
