Default White Water Rafting On The Klamath River

Over the Summer I scored an awesome job that payed me to take pictures of some awesome adventures. As part of that I had the opportunity to take photos of white water rafting. This particular rapid is called Dragon's Tooth. It is a class 4 and It is on the Lower Klamath River. To get the shots I had to go through the rapid and then at a safe point jump out of the raft and swim across the river to an island right up next to it before the rest of the float came down. In my opinion the effort was very worth it. Here are a few of my favorites.

I was wondering about lack of helments, too.
Great shots, though, and you went through a lot to get them! did you have to swim back??

Great photos. I especially love #2.

I find it curious about the helmets, too. I have rafted the Upper Gulley in WV several times (several Class V rapids), and helmets were always required.

Thanks for the Kudos

I guess some explanation, this is the only class 4 that the company rafts, and it is only a class 4 at low water (pictured) due tue its technical ability. Earlier in the summer It was a 3 and had a nice place to slide by. Most of the stretch they run is 1-3 and lots of flat open space. The trip is designed for inner city kids to get their feet wet.

When I started I was curious about helmets too...

I didn't have to swim back up stream Hannya, lol. I usually got picked up downstream by the second float.

Oh and...
