First time i have ever seen one . I thought them to be bigger . This fellar had to be passing through .

Thanks jodelak , i used a XSi and a 70-200mm f/4L for this shot and the Kingfisher . This SSP was on the edge of the pond about 10-ft from me but when he spotted me he flew off just like a kildeer . The KF was about 30-yards but when i moved too quick he flew off across the pond a good 100-yards away . I just stayed still and the wife walked around the pond slowly so he would fly around til he got close enough to image . I got a few with him flying but for the 200mm it was a little too far for a good image .
