IQ?

1DMK3 is a solid camera. I always liked how its files cleaned up, very responsive to post processing. It's only 10MP, which means you will have to pay attention to how it's framed in camera because you can't be as liberal with cropping, but it's a great camera. I would have no problem taking it to 6400.

I think the first photo in the OP would get a lot of likes on FB. ;)

Since we're talking about that picture, why is #67 & the other player about to tackle the ref?

As for cameras, I like my 7D and I went well beyond that with my latest purchase of the 1 DX. I'm going to use both but of course the 1DX will get the majority of use while shooting sports. I can't wait to see how it handles poorly lit hockey rinks while shooting through glass.

they are not
as you can see the ref is clearly farther back than they are
they were rushing the qb
it was a drag route with a front side smash
the kid making the catch had to clear the LB while the smash route had to take out the Weak Safety and the Cover Corner

Pat,
For sharpness and noise that looks pretty good out of the 40D!

You may want to look again in the POTN classifieds again. I have seen several for sale there. Keep searching!

Not bad, missing the ball and I'm not a fan of square crops. Otherwise, exposure and everything else is good.
