Those lenses are AMAZING! I love 'em! Eh, you can keep the white flash though. ;)

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

My other question is does he take the parts apart, paint it, then put it back together? I'd hate to find my lens not working as good as when he took it apart.

Should not hurt anything. they come apart quite easily, and the barrel doesn't have the elements attached to it in a precise fashion; I could do that quite easily to a camera, I know. Even the 5D isn't hard to get apart (I think it's probably even much easier than a Rebel).

I didn't know it was that easy. Thanks for the info.

I agree, lens OK, body NO.

Love the idea tho.

The Canon folks ought to market the white lens with a white Rebel to the Star Wars fans...

Who does these, by the way? I'd love a 17-40... However, I'm guessing it would void my CPS discount...

If you're a super-spy-photographer and plan on sneaking up on people (or critters) in the snow, I guess it's bitchin'. :D

Is there anyone that will take White to Black? White will get you noticed, and immediately everyone knows you've got an expensive lens. It would be nice to be a little descrete.

Not sure who the OP is talking about, but I remember this post from Petapixel: LINKexternal link

Scroll down for the 300 2.8 white to black conversion. Looks sweet to me.
