I rarely use strobes on location as I don't have mobile power, but we shot in a building the other day that had open outlets and I was able to try some natural/strobe balance! Let me know what you think!

So, wait. After watching that video it looks like you use a lcd loupe instead of the view finder. Are you shooting in live view mode?

Haha thanks man! And it depends the lens, when it's a lens with good AF then I use the regular VF, but I love my Rokinon 35mm f/1.4 (and dont have the $$$ to upgrade to the 35L) and it's full manual focus and aperture, something the 50D's VF was not made for, so I use the LCD-VF for that as it is much more accurate to focus

I love you Luke . That was Peter's quantum flash behind her at very low power, ND 3 stop filter and shot at f1.2. It was there to make her hair "pop" more. Most of it is mostly natural lighting .

haha very nice! I shoulda known it was a quantum cause you were shooting with Peter!

I only used it for that shot though. But he def. made me want to buy lighting equipment now.

I'm SO jealous you got to shot with Sophia!! GAHHH I wanted to shoot with her over break but she's off to China for 3 months She's gonna go far in this industry for sure
