There's plenty of ways to do it,but I find the best way is using a curves adjustment layer.

In Capture One, i make the adjustments with the blues (RGB) until im happy with it :)

One thing that can really help this kind of thing, if you acquire in Camera Raw, is to change the lightness of the red in the color adjustment tabs; this makes the blood vessels closer in value to the skin, and is great for really red babies too.

If the look is unnatural in the face, you can combine two files, using one just for the legs where they have the redness.
