Simply beautiful! It looks like the aspens have turned. Are they at peak color right now?

Fantastic photo, I have a print from that location from a local photographer that I purchased on my last trip to Colorado. Now I want to take another trip up there now with my DSLR and hope to capture some of the state's beauty myself.

They seem to be just getting there.

I'm going to be there Oct. 13. Any chance the colors will still be there?

They are just changing in the high country, but have not really started lower down. I've heard it might be a pretty short season. Snow on the peaks today.

I got some decent shots this weekend but man what a madhouse, there had to be a couple hundred photographers.

That's why I went on a Tue morning. Was able to basically pick your spot.

So the moral of the story is to go during the week and avoid the weekends. Thanks for the tip! I had hoped to get out to visit at the end of the month but unfortunately a family illness caused me to postpone until next year. Thanks for sharing your images and advice.

Great, I'm planning on being there on a Sunday morning. Guess I better get there pretty early.

There is a lot to be said about ISO 100.

Nice shot.
