This is a place for images of small or medium-size scenes that don't fit in Urban Candids because they have no people and don't fit in Urban Fragments because they contain some sky. Large, sweeping vistas would go in Cityscapes.

I'll start.

This is the thread I've been waiting for!

Thanks, guys. Despite the awkwardness about setting it up, it does fill a need. Sometimes, when I'm out, I've skipped subjects or framed differently to keep out sky so the shot could go in Urban Fragments. That shouldn't happen.

I've been thinking a lot of architecture as national culture and character recently. nothing new I know (hello Walker Evans) but still, a very interesting topic. here is some Englishness for you all.

So the English mix commercial and residential uses in the same block, just like us! Who knew?

thanks for a new thread OL, it's a very useful one :)

You're welcome, and thanks for your contributions.
