Wow 1 inch is a huge difference in leg length. That poor girl has gone thru so much in her short life, but she has a lot of encouragement coming from so many in her life. She is a strong girl and I am sure she will do just fine.

She is strong, no matter what. Thanks for sharing her bravery with us.

Canons to the left, Canons to the right,
We hold our L glass toward the light,
Digitizing in a snap reflective glory
That will forever tell our imaged story.

Hopefully, she's finished with hospital visits in the foreseeable future except for routine checkups. She can't bear any weight on her left leg for six weeks. Originally she was to have a cast for that period of time, however, the surgeon found her bone healthy enough (she has always been very active, "running" everywhere) to forgo the cast and have a plate and screws hold the femur together.

School, of course, is done for the semester but her teacher and Mom will keep her up to speed.

Awe she looks tired...but what an amazing little girl she is!! Most would crumble but she just keeps keeping on. Such an inspiration for others for sure.

We interrupt this Easter Egg hunt to watch the chickens. This is the first time he ever saw chickens.

Prayers said that she will stay out of the hospital for a good long while....... Sweet thing, she has sure gone through so much :(

Here is my littlest guy, lost in thought on the swing :)

Moms' day visit. We're at the halfway point in E's recovery. Three more weeks before she can put weight on her leg. No pain except some tenderness by the incision. She's in her favorite chair, Dad's La-Z-Boy.

I'm a bachelor now except on weekends. Nurse Grandma carries her where she needs to be during the week and Dad takes over on Saturday and Sunday.

Looks like she is coming along well. I am getting ready to go celebrate the holiday with mine before we leave on vacation to Alaska. I already miss them but I am way more fun if I get away for a week or two a couple of times a year. :)

Wow, how time goes!

I am so happy to catch up with all of the postings I have missed. We have just had so much happen this last year that I am embarrassed to admit I have done little in the way of picture taking. Overall the good has far outweighed the less than good, so I can't complain.

We had the kids at a park today for one last time before my son takes his crew off to Mississippi for a years work assignment. This is a phone picture, unfortunately.

Glad to hear all is well, Joe. We have had a busy summer. Here is Nick & Aaron at Monterey Bay aquarium. The next day we went on a whale watch as the humpbacks are lunge feeding like crazy this summer on all the anchovies that hatched. Quite a show!!
