Hey guys,

I really enjoy this forum, awesome pictures in nearly every single thread :)

I searched for soccer and found ~1.000 different threads with only 4-5 photos in it. Let's start a general thread for soccer photography to get as much soccer photos as possible

Greetings from Dusseldorf, Germany ;)

Did you see the players foot in the second photo. Wow, that is flexible. I am shooting a tournament my kids are in this weekend. I'll add some.

One of mine from a floodlit game.

Non-league suffers from poor floodlights, and this was at a club just demoted from the bottom of the leagues!

On the other hand, daylight games can give good results - goal celebrations as rare as hen's teeth ...

This is what happens when the defence (black and white) is faster and more agile than the offence (white/yellow/green), he uses his strength to 'break through' and heads for the goal.

Great shots above. :)

I got volunteered to be one of the dad photographers for my daughter's high school soccer team. I shoot casually at my kids' games. Now I have to get serious and improve on somethings. What? I don't know. Below from the past month.

Any suggestions on how to get better?

So what do you think of this shot? I welcome Q & C....

its a good isolated shot but would truly benefit greatly if it was shot from a different angle. not seeing more of her face really takes away from this photo. good timing on the action but its a pretty generic action shot. this is great if the team needed isolated shots of the players. if the shot was a few frames later where she made contact with the ball i think it would take it to the next level on the action itself :)

Not trying to take anything away from this photo... but at first glance to me (an American) this was really odd and funny.

In almost every sport, anyone wearing a black and white stripped shirt/jersey like that is a referee of some sort. I do not know of an American team that uses a black/white striped pattern like the ones in the image. Some will use other colors, but typically not black on white.

Therefore, at first glance, I laughed, because it looks like a ref is taking out a player. Then I asked myself, why in the hell is a ref taking out a player so aggressively.. funny.

After a few seconds of pondering the above question, then the background of the image sets in.. AH! That is NOT a referee, that is the uniform of the other TEAM. Now it makes sense.
