Imagine, trying to get sharp shots on the side of a steep hill in a dark/dense forest at 1/80th of a second at 800mm equivalent. What a nightmare !! :D

Not exactly Carol, But that would be nice. Just trying to make good on my promise to show the world that the 7DmarkII is every bit as good as any camera canon has ever produced. As you can see there are a few that have joined me. Long hours out in -30 something and up to your butt in snow is how you to can get great images of Fox. :-}

John Sheey, you can call it want you want and see it how you see it that's you right. Also, you can do all the techy math that you see fit. I can care less about all of that because it means nothing to me. The bottom line is if I shoot the same image at the same distance with the same lens with my 5D and 7D, the 7D is larger in the frame and less cropping is required and that's all that matters to me. I can care less about all that crop this or resize that to see which body is better because I won't be doing any of that. It's a fact that the apparent reach is there with a crop vs ff body. I don't care what's on paper or what's theoretical, but I do care what I see with my eyes and my eyes don't lie.

Thanks for doing this. I am with you. Folks these days tend to give up on things too easily. I can only imagine how they handle real life situations. I'd love to join in on some fox fun if I were in the area. Those are some of the best fox images I have ever seen and the snow just accentuates them. They are pretty healthy looking, too. Keep it up.

Al

Wow... These are absolutely fantastic! I'm looking forward to longer days here. Right now it's dark when I leave for work and dark when I come home.
