I'm thinking of selling my 100-400 MkI and my 7D and my 300 f2.8 for the 7D2 + 100-400 MkII combination. As I get older the 300 is getting heavier and it sounds like the MkII/Mk2 might well perform nearly as well.

When the 7D2 and 100-400II prices drop in the UK I'll have a hard decision to make.

I'm glad it's not just me thinking this way!

We're traveling in the balmy north. 2F for this mornings capture with 15 knot winds. The only between my finger tips and the brute of wind and cold a thin wool liner glove. The most pain per picture I've ever given up, my noodle telling me its just weakness leaving the body,,,,,,,waiting waiting waiting for him to leave the perch- finally

^I've seen (and salivated over) your work with the 70-300L, you DONT need it !!! :)
I could use a lesson or two on gloves though, that I admit. Tomorrow is supposed to be colder too-can't wait HA!
It's all good, at least I'm off the couch.

And I thought the Montreal area was cold, yesterday we traveled a bit further north and east to the Quebec City area--way colder and a nasty wind, but once in the woods the wind was blocked and I actually felt warm in my 5 layers HA! See if you recognize this guy from behind-
