I've been a Trekker since I was a young teen, and I attended the dreaded, now cool, conventions. I never went to one he was speaking, though. I regret that. But I always enjoyed his performances and truly, he was much more interesting than watching any other i the early franchise. Eighty three isn't bad and he was sick for a long time. I fear his death is going to be felt in the future.

Well, I wouldn't class him as a singer, but he did sing though not to my taste, hahaha

Yeah, but RIP Leonard "Spock" Nimoy
Star Trek is one of my favourite TV shows/movies, he will be missed, alongside James Doohan and DeForest Kelley

RIP. A great director (my favourite Trek movie is The Voyage Home (external link)), and a great actor. I just hope someone managed to store his Katra.

'I'm not an equipment nut. I tend to use whatever's to hand. I have several cameras, of course, but I'm not emotional about any of them.' - Leonard Nimoy.

LLAP.

I guess he spoke in life as he did on screen. Being emotional about equipment is... illogical, captain.

Thank you Leonard, for all the wonderful movies and the joy you gave us, as well as making us think about society as a whole.

This one makes me super-sad. I absolutely love his work in Star Trek and his cameos in Fringe as William Bell.

LLAP, Spock.

I didn't find out about Spock's death from the news here in Japan; but did, thanks to a POTNer linking something via Facebook!
So yet again, thanks POTN!

Yes, sad news indeed. But I'm pleased he lived long enough to see so many Treky things make it into reality in some sort of way.

Waaaay too many "stars" burn out and fade away at shudderingly young ages.

May Captain Kirk, and Jean-Luc Picard keep on splitting infinitives for many more years yet!
