Nice one Vinz. I really like the tones on this one.

I also meant to ask, were you using a filter to be able to shoot at 1/10th at an iso of 100?

that was shot in the afternoon and F16 i guess.

thank you.

Really enjoying my Samyang 135.

Taken at a beautiful moss garden inside Gioji, Arashiyama, Kyoto, Japan.

Great isolation and a very nice gradual bokeh.

Canons to the left, Canons to the right,
We hold our L glass toward the light,
Digitizing in a snap reflective glory
That will forever tell our imaged story.

Beautiful impressive results from the Samyang 2/135mm. Question: does it have a chip to send data to the camera: do you get in-camera aperture control as well as lens EXIF data?

Thank you!

Unfortunately, no chip to send any data. It only records the camera's shutter and ISO, not aperture.

It's a manual focus, manual aperture lens. You can change the aperture manually just as fast as turning the dial on your camera. (-_o)

I had a love-hate relationship with Samyang when I was using Canon bodies because when I stopped down (even just to F4), the viewfinder would get VERY dark (I also had a precision focusing screen).

The EVF on the a7 solved that problem, and I can actually get an accurate preview of what my DOF will be like at any aperture!

here's a few test shots with Voigtlander 35/1.2 ... sweet lens! These were shot wide open and the last one had the close-focusing adapter to get closer

Really nice shots. It always helps to have such a cutie model for you too. :-)

Hah!...I posted this before realizing there were two more posts on this page.

Was really close to picking up on a voigtlander setup last week, then backed out...... Gear list flaring up again. Love the idea of the close focus adapter.

So much cool Voigtlander coolness around here it's getting hard not to be tempted.

Which one were you considering Charlie?

40 1.4 and 15 or 12. 12 is due for an update so trying to wait it out a bit (15 released the same time and recently updated). All are fairly small, main goal is size.

Heck, I've been considering Voigtlander goodness even though I don't even own a Sony camera (yet. That may change soon).

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.
