thanks for opinions regarding my dilemma.
I tried to be as practical as I could to decide, so I took 6D for a spin (finally good sunny weather here): taken hundreds of photos of fast moving targets (mainly MTBing kids) last week. With back button focusing, AI Servo mode and 24-105 f4L nearly ALL my photos were perfectly focused, be it central AF point or the others. Well, 6D really is capable in that matter, thats for sure. Call it "basic", but such AF system is enough for me.
So what I did is:

HOSTED PHOTO

6D; EF 50mm 1:1.2 L USM; EF 24-105mm f1:4 L IS USM

Prarts, glad it worked out for you. I did the same thing you did and did my research and actually people here did the same for me and talked me into giving the 6D a go. I am very happy I did. It lets me get shots like this, that in low light, just simply would not be possible any other way.
