Hi
I am having a problem with raw files on EOSM.I shoot raw plus JPeg Attached is a picture of a raw file in Dpp which is very small, of poor quality and has no EXIF while the Jpeg image is the right size and has EXIF.

Any advice on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

I don't use the EOSM or DPP so just stabbing in the dark. Have you checked to see if you are shooting RAW, M-RAW or even S-RAW (as in small RAW). Alternatively some screwed up setting in DPP.

Have you tried viewing the files in any other programs to see if it is a file issue or a program (DPP) issue? Lastly, how big are the files (in megabytes).

Upload a Raw file to Dropbox or similar service and post the link here. Making guesses based on a screen capture is kind of pointless.

What version of DPP are you using? I upgraded from a Canon 7D to a 7DII. When I did that I upgraded to DPP 4.xx which supports the 7DII raw files but doesn't the 7D raw files. If I try to view the 7D raw files in DPP 4.xx, I get what sounds like you are describing with the raw files. A thumbnail and that is all. JPG's are alright.

I don't know version of DPP that you are using for your camera but if it is 4.0, I would download the 3.XX version and try that. DPP 4 is only for the 1DX, 5D MkIII, 6D, and 7DII cameras.

If you are using 3.xx, then I don't know what is wrong.

Hi thanks for the reply. I'm using version 4 (it's sooo pretty) but according to canon USA I should be using

Oh, thank you for this post because I was behind the curve and did not know there was a newer version of 4 than the one that I had and that the newer version supports my older 7D raw files.
