The Male Northern Harrier has a nickname....The Grey Ghost. This one was busy hunting and didn't seem to mind my tagging along.

Another species that I have not seen. Nice set, Ian. The unique pose in #6 and the background makes it my favorite.

What great images, Ian!
I especially like the first one....it's really cool to see the top side so nicely depicted.
Very, very well done!

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "peace of mind", NOT "piece of mind".

great series, Ian! i have a few shots of the elusive "gray ghost", but not many - you were fortunate to find one so willing to accommodate your lens!

Wonderful set! Don't often see harrier shots (or harriers, period) in the summer, and these are a real treat.

Thanks Jeff. It was fun, I was on a dirt country road with no traffic, so I owned the road and used it all ;)

Thanks John. It was pretty windy, and I think he was focusing on his hunting more than on me.

Thanks Rocky! This bird's colouration is almost like a stealth aircraft. When he was flying against a treed background, there was a fair bit of focus hunting going on. But as he got closer, that resolved itself.

Thanks Mike. They aren't unheard of around here, but certainly are one of the tougher ones to find.

Great job on these, Ian; I saw one this last week, but my photos are nothing as good as yours. Well done.
