Thanks Peter, probably only sad 'cos he couldn't get to the chicks in another Whitethroat nest a bit earlier ;) , all the crow family tend to be nest raiders although the Eurasian Jays less so.

Lester, the third in the series, I find that one most interesting-never seen anything quite like it. Gorgeous capture regardless.
This was a new arrival to the studio out back, also very new to me and as yet unidentified-

A great variety of photos lately.

I knew that AF on Tamron with an 1.4x is totally useless. BUT, I discovered that, when I use an AF point which is not in the central area, the AF works just fine! Strange, as the central-area AF points are supposed to be better. Anyway, this is good news to me. Of course it needs a different AF micro-adjustment, but I was expecting this.

Tried one in January and finally purchased mine in late May :-) Almost had it of my mind due to the early versions issues. Here are a couple moon shots over A├žor Mountain (Portugal).
