Tested two copies of the Bower version of the lens. The first copy would not focus to infinity at F2.8 but it did take decent photos at F4 and above.
This last photograph was taken using a guided equatorial mount and is a 5 minute, F4, ISO 1600 exposure.
I had bought this lens with the intent to photograph the stars wide open at F2.8, and so I returned the first copy in the hopes the next lens could meet my needs. No luck. The replacement copy was soft on the left side of the frame and coma was horrible. Is this an isolated experience? Did you have to go through multiple lenses before you found your winner?

wow that is a gorgeous image.
