These are outstanding photos Scott. The fact that you were able to take them from near vole-eye level gives them an intimacy I don't normally see in small mammal shots. And your eye for composition is great as well.

Thank you all for the kind comments. Water voles are lovely little creatures - sadly in massive decline in the UK as a result of the introduction of mink (1000s of which were released into the wild from farms when fur became unfashionable).
