#1 When buddy mentioned that we found ourselves in between the impending battle between the cape buffalo and the 11 lions with the calf....this image shows it......I have been shooting the lions to my left and the buffalo start charging in from the right.... The driver slammed it in reverse and popped that clutch to get us out from in between them.

#2 we are now backing up and i am trying to catch the encounter

#2 Buddy and his group firing away..... Buddy is the one with the Magnum Excursion hat on.

That is the end of the event......I have a thousand more images because it went on for about 1 1/2 hours.... but I this these images tell the story

Amazing photos! Good enough for Nat Geo!

It's amazing how close you can get to these animals. And the vehicles are pretty unprotected as well.

Poor calf.

While we are in the vehicle they do not perceive us as a threat or consider us a food source.... I have been told that the second you get out of the vehicle then you have entered into the circle of life.
