Thank you. I agree the top one should be cropped a little tighter.
I subscribed to KelbyOne last year and watching the big time sports photographers' videos there, I've been brainwashed to shoot tighter and tighter on action shots. Also, they stress faces, faces, and faces in the shots. Level your backgrounds. Wide shots are when your are wanting venue atmosphere type shots. Etc.
A lot of stuff for me to remember when shooting sports.
I do find that you can crop tighter when you are cropping a shot for display. But when you put up some photos for sale and people will be ordering different sizes of prints, you need to crop looser to allow for the different cropping for the various sized prints.
Now if I could only afford that Canon 400mm F/2.8 lens.
