These are the two extremes of designs by Tom Sopwith that are at the Shuttleworth Collection. His first designs date from before the first world war, and the lsat design he was involved with was the Harrier.

First the Sopwith Pup from 1916.

The second the Hawker Hurricane, probably the most successful aircraft design of the late 30's. This is the last surviving example that actually took part in the Battle of Britain. Privately owned, but now based at Old Warden.

Frank I have posted some images of the Pup to the forum in the past, including some in flight ones. But here are a couple more of it from the last Old Warden display.
