TT560 in a shoot through umbrella, RF605 triggers. Had wanted to do this an hour earlier, but didn't happen.

If you wanted to do it earlier I assume it was to get more ambient ligjt in the background? You could have used a slower shutter speed or higher iso to achieved that. I like the background but the lack of a separation light is a bit of an issue as part of her hairline is lost in the shadows. The hard shadowline in the side of her nose shows the limits of using a single flash with no ambient to provide natural fill.

That was the original plan, but I kinda liked it when I chimped it and went with it. You think more ambient or just a reflector would be best? I've played around indoors, but was my first time trying something like this outside. Thanks for the feedback.

EDIT: By original plan and shooting earlier, I meant I wanted to use the sun as some rim lighting. At this point though, opening up the shutter would've been too much ambient overall for what I wanted.

There are 2 issues that come from the disparity between flash and ambient. A reflector would have softened the shadow on the nose, but it wouldnt address the problem with her hair line being lost into the background. A compromise might have been by simply moving the light closer to the camera axis so that shadow on the nose/mouth is diminished.
