I kind of like the first one, but would like to see better/some highlights in the others.

Decided to have another go at just using ambient light, took this a few minutes after sunset.

The highlights in it are pretty nice. The poles & sign growing out of it... not so much.

They bug me quite a bit also, I've noticed that I tend to forget the background while trying to get the reflections on the car where I want them.

Might try to find a more rural location to make the process a bit easier haha

That can work, but don't give up on ones near you, either. Have you looked at the "Move..." link in my Sig?

Just had a read of that now, will keep it in mind for the next time I go out shooting, have had too many shots that ended up having some major background distraction magically appear once viewed on my PC.

I think I tend to get a bit rushed once I feel like the light is just right haha

Record high temps yesterday called for a car meet. One of my friends S60R.

Had another go shooting after a sunset, thought this one turned out better, apart from that tree I missed at the rear of the car.

Better! You said, "after a sunset"? Now think about how much it would pop out if the background/FG actually looked like "after a sunset": "Beast" (external link)
