I'm a new boy here, having recently upgraded to a 70D. I didn't know the 80D was just round the corner, but I'm very happy with the 70D so far. Here is one of my first efforts.

shot with a Haida 10 stop ND filter, amazing for the money, and no colour cast!

Exposure Compensation not possible in M mode with 70D. Only available on a few of the high end Canons.

and, apparently it is a feature of the new 80D. It is listed in the online 80D manual, that is all I know. I have not read any of the manual.

The new 80D will also autofocus with use of an extender, as does the 7D II

My 5diii's are pretty useless in the selfie department; glad to have the flip screen.

Ballooning in Martinborough 28th Feb. I had woken and was wondering what the noise was. Realised it was hot air balloons and shot out with my camera - in my nighty!

Rather wobbly looking lighthouse:

Just to show how low they were above the street at times:

Last few that I'll post - gets a bit repetitive. I grew up in Martinborough and played hockey on the paddock where I am shooting from.

Martinborough is known as as a wine village now, and a very different place to where I grew up. Back then it was a dying rural town.

I find the Haida filters are top notch, especially for the price. Nice one!
