PIcked up the 6D back in October but due to work and holidays, never had a chance to give it a good work out. Took a trip to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand in February to change that!

A couple from after work tonight. These were shot on the 6d with a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8. I haven't used this lens for awhile but it has been about the only lens on my 6d since I bought the body a couple weeks ago. I like it other than it is slow to focus. I have been contemplating a switch, but I can't afford the Canon 24-70 f/2.8 and I'm nervous about dropping back to the f/4.

<edit> the comment about focus speed was a bit OT and in reference to the lens rather than the body. It doesn't matter whether it is f/2.8, f/9 or any other aperture setting on an XS, 50d, 70d or the 6d. The lens just has a slow motor and I've never purchased another Tamron because of my experience with it.

And yet both of your fantastic shots were shot at f9.

I should clarify (and will edit above) that my complaint on focus speed is a little OT from the thread. I'm not complaining about the 6d, but rather the Tamron 28-75. Yes, it is slow at f9 and sunset. It's also slow at f2.8 in the middle of the day and on every body I've attached it to. I still like the pictures I get from it though.

I think what people are saying, is why worry about going to an F4 lens when the images you posted were both shot at F9..
