I was near Linville this weekend and saw this guy sitting in the trees watching a fisherman. I was wondering if he knew what the fisherman was doing and if he was letting him do all the work and planned to swoop down once he hooked one!

They've done it before :) Although, more likely watching for fish scared up closer to the surface, by the fisherman. The are *really* lazy hunters unless they have to try harder; give 'em 3, nice healthy trout and day old, smelly carcass, they'll go for the latter first simply due to not requiring so much energy; these guys take a LOT of energy to get airborne and move around.
