place a Nissin i40 in the hot shoe and place the 600 in S1 to fire the 600 into HSS

just saw this, will have to try with my XT-1. If it will work with the Nissin i40, it should work with any Fuji compat TTL trigger. Like the one included with the XT-1.

Hi.

Is the boom being used to allow the weight of flash and modifier to be more precisely centered than would be the case if you simply mounted the flash to the top of the stand?

Thanks,

Owen.

Hi Owen,

I use the boom to offset the flash from the center of the stand...as it would be with a regular light stand. The extra couple off feet allow you to shoot right under the light, without worrying about the center pole being in the frame. Hope this makes sense :)

Got it. I didn't "read" the angle of the boom properly in the photo at first. Makes perfect sense now...

Thanks.

Owen.
