Okay, let's get this dance over with..... :p
Jim Askew: Interesting take on the theme; our temps are 105 this week so we see a lot of ceiling fan dancing here around the clock.
Teekay: Nothing like a little Hawaiian street dancing; I love the looks on the lady closest to the camera & the little girl. Great facial expressions.
OhLook: Now I love everything about this shot. The colors are vivid and it is very visually pleasing to my eye.
Sibil: I want in on this dance gig! Love the floating bills and the joyous expressions on the girl's faces. Great capture.
Raven:Love this! Whenever I am in the Seattle area I see street dancers & performers all over the city just doing their thing. I love that nobody really seems to be paying attention to her & I love her get-up.

Winners
1st Oh Look
2nd Raven
3rd Sibil

POTN G-series Speed Challenge #591 - DANCE

We love to dance at our house. As soon as the music starts, feet move, heads sway, arms wave and smiles break out along with giggles. Everyone feels good, everyone gets silly and we have so much fun. I also love to tap dance & take a class every Friday with a group of women age 55 & over. Most of all, I love to dance with my 5 sisters at a family wedding or reunion party. It gets crazy & we all feel like kids again. So show me your dancers, dance moves, performances, recitals or whatever else you find in the world of dance.

I have 1000"s of dance photos made at numerous weddings...alas all shot with my professional gear. My one G11 set was lost in a hard drive crash a couple of years ago :-(

Yes, it has happened before. Thinking of dancing like some kind of sports, my G11 doesn't do action very well.

Suggestions: bugs, butterflies, flowers dancing in the wind, little kids at the park, birthday party, wedding receptions, music in the park night, put on some music in your home :-)

Seriously, this can't be that hard..... Good luck.

Maureen, like some others, I have no dance scenes to contribute. Most of my photos aren't of people. I've been too sick all week to leave home, and I wouldn't know where to find dancers anyway. Well, okay, there's a dance studio nearby, but sneaking shots of kids taking ballet lessons could get me in trouble.

Now that you've stretched the topic, I may be able to produce something dance-related.

Oh, boy. Maureen, that's not exactly what I said when I saw that you'd chosen my shot for first place. I'm still not well, and I expected the awards to go to photos that showed people dancing or at least had something that moved. But thank you.

This bunch performed nicely at finding something dance-y for a challenge that left us/them empty-handed at first. Congratulations to Raven and Sibil. I also thought Jim Askew's ceiling fan was a clever way to address the topic.
