I couldn't find a specific thread for them so I hope it's okay that I started one.

Today was my very first attempt ever at Colour Splash.

If by color splash you mean selective color......you're probably going to get a few responses although they may not be what you would call positive.

This technique to me is something many people do when they get their first camera.

But hey....whatever blows your skirt up.

Well I've been photographing since 1978 so definitely not my first camera.

But as I mentioned, it is my first attempt at Color Splash or Selective Color or whatever you want to call it.

I think it's a cool looking effect if done once in a while to make a brightly saturated and colored subject stand out.

Photography while being a creative and serious endeavor IMHO should also be fun. But if some people don't like this particular effect - that's cool. Whatever.

That's all I got!

Also, I don't really do this ever at all, these are my only 2, but if everyone shot by and PPed by the same rules then it would be a pretty boring and unenriching hobby to enjoy.

Everything is relative.
