It seems quite difficult to ascertain the exact species, but its a sawfly of the family Tenthredinidae, probably the rose sawfly (Arge ochropus, but it might be A.pagana that look similar with more black above (I think)).

Whichever it is, I found it in the rain on a fake nettle plant...

I like the first one because it's a tighter shot, and I love the babies expression. Looks like a little Winston Churchill. Portraits are tough though, which is why I avoid that kind of photography!

It's a miracle...I finally had the 70D out for a bit. These are from an event at a local airport with WW II planes that you could book rides in. I shot mostly with Fuji on the tarmac, but had the Sigma 150-600 mounted on the 70D for takeoff/landing and in flight shots. One plane landed just as I was arriving, but nothing else went up for the entire time I was there! I used the 70D/Sigma combo to take a few close ups anyway so I could have something to show for lugging it around for two hours!! Here's a couple with the 70D and Sigma:

Planning a trip to asia. Are there any restrictions on carrying cameras and camera lithium battery on board. There are some information on carrier website about not allowing bigger gear. But if i am going to put my camera bag (70d with Sigma 17-50), small lens bag (85mm 1.8 and 10-18mm) and yn flash either inside a carry bag or my laptop bag, there should not be any issues right?

Thanks

Canon SL2, Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 OS, Sigma 105mm OS Macro, 10-18mm STM, 55-250mm STM.

I've never had any issues with camera batteries on aircraft. The airlines I have flown on allow one carry on bag and one personal item and I take a small suitcase and my camera backpack and have had no issues thus far.

Really love that bokeh in the first. Interesting shots.

Canon EOS 70D: added a Canon M5: A mixture of Canon, Sigma, Tamron and Tokina prime and zoom lenses, a Samyang fisheye, and just for fun a couple of Helios 44-2 58m..

A couple of shots from my garden this evening. The second shot is a huge crop as the (very small) plane was well over two miles away, but it's a very interesting little plane.
