I was working a hawk and this guy speeds out of one set of trees and beelines to another. I had 2.5 seconds to find him in the sky, let the camera lock
and then hammer. I got 5 shots that look very much like this-

Return from a "successful" hunt.

This young burrowing owl chick has been practicing his hunting skills by flying a short distance away from the nest to capture “preys” of his imagination, e.g. a loose feather, a small rock, etc. In this photo he was flying back to the nest with his captured “prey”, which happened to be a small piece of clay in this case.

My first bird in flight with my new(ish) 7D. The Tamron SP 70-300mm and the 7D are great combo.
