Pohutukawa growing on the rock. A lovely bush walk goes up that hill over to the next bay, but I couldn't go because dogs aren't allowed, as there's kiwi about.

More Ohope beach.

Had to do a bit this in Lightroom, as the darks were very dark, and highlights were almost blown. I think there's some colour cast too .... be interested in opinions.

The kind of view one would have from the Story Tellers Chair of Ohope beach. My little friend in the corner.

On the trip home - random trees in the Lake Rotama scenic reserve: raining again.

Another view - it's a very beautiful area, but I only seem to go through here when it's raining. Soft light for photography though ...

I think you got it balanced nicely and (along with the abstract sand patterns) it is my favorite of the set. But you know I like when you have a strong foreground element in your landscapes! This might also be very interesting in black and white.

Do you like this one Rose. It's based on your JPEG so little room to play with instead of RAW.

We don't see many colourful birds here as you guys in other parts of the world do, but we do play the wonderful game of cricket here in England. It's a long way from the bounday to the action, so the 100-400 really comes into its own.

<blabbering>I'm all over the place right now for what I eventually want. I mean the 70D suits all my needs . I am content.
I could see myself getting a 6D in a few years if I have money burning a hole in my pocket. Even a 5DII. For fun and DOF...

But more probable I would get a 7DII or 90D... if the XXD line finally inherits better AF for action...</blabbering>

I am doing my sisters wedding with the plan to maybe do more if it goes ok. So two bodies makes sense and the 6d's ability in low lighting looks good on paper. Hope I can get some good shots now.
