Beautiful work Carol! I'm going to try and get some shots of mine before they depart if I can get some time off work.

Work has been crazy for me too and unfortunately has not allowed me to spend as much time as I would like photographing one of my favorite subjects. I would be out photographing them every day if time allowed but I cleared a few hours in my schedule to spend some time with them yesterday and they rewarded me with this series! I look forward to seeing your pictures. I wish they were here all year!

And you've got just the right kind of flowers to attract them; well done, Carol.

I try to plant a lot of the flowers that the hummers prefer. I also have allot of bag balm. Some other flowers I would like to plant will not survive the winter here. I am always open for suggestions from anyone else that has had success with a flower that might survive the winters here in the northeast.

Could you mean bee balm. Bag balm is for a cow's udder. ;)

Thanks for the comment. I am sure they will be there soon as they are sadly leaving here almost daily now. I love these birds and the season is never long enough! I will miss seeing and hearing them; in a couple weeks they will be all gone until May of next year.
