X-E2 with 55-200 handheld.......

Cropped a bit but considering it's handheld utilizing stabilization from lens....not bad for a 16 "megapickle" camera LOL!!

Off topic.....lately I've been reconsidering on buying the 56 f/1.2 APD. My application with Fuji is still my secondary system. Analyzing my Canon FF with 85Lmk2 f/1.2 I'm definitely holding off in buying the fuji 56mm for now. Even so I do not use my 85L as much as I should.........

I'm having an incredible fun time planning and strategically buying fuji gear to suite my needs. I'll be shooting the Great Canadian VW show (The biggest VW show in Canada)this coming weekend. I'll be bringing my fuji gear along with my Canon gear. I'll test out how well the reasonably priced 55-200 works along side my Canon 70-200 f/2.8IS mk2. I've run out of "G.A.S money) to purchase a fuji 10-24 however my Canon UWA does killer for what I need to do for this auto show.

Nice shot :)

I love my 55-200mm, super sharp and has such beautiful bokeh for a somewhat slow zoom.

Nice shot :)

I'm quite shocked how fuji has made such a nice zoom for that price point.

The long end at f/4.8 isn't all that bad considering it's almost like shooting a canon crop sensor with a much more expensive 70-200 f/4IS zoom. I think the beauty of the Fuji is no micro AF adjusting needed for sharp images.

With the 55-200 I did some quick test shots yesterday of a power pole with a transformer and isolators in my back alley. Even the 16mpx sensor did a very good job in detail.

This weekend will be a big test for me and my fuji gear. I'm eager to see the results I get with the massive car show.

Good luck at the show & remember to enjoy shooting your cameras :) regardless of who made them, 'cause at the end of the day, TCDGAF as long as the shots hit the brief.
Also interested to hear your opinions on the killer 70-200/2.8ISL Vs. the budget 55-200 from Fuji.

I'm really eager to test the light weight 55-200 zoom at the car show. My main reason to purchase this lens was to use it at this car show. In the past I've used my 85L and swapping to 70-200 with my secondary Canon body. I'm gonna lug my fuji and pray I dont run out of batteries during the all day event. I think I'm going to be pleased with with my fuji files :)

I can think of no better way to follow a reference to the creepy orchestral piece from Jaws than to give you this: my grill, shot today.

I discovered this Citroen parked in my neighborhood earlier in the month while walking the dog. It looks to be circa late '60s or early '70s. New York being New York, of course there was a nasty pile of rubbish sitting beside it on the left that I had to clone out.

Just pulled the trigger on an Amazon Warehouse deal X-Pro2 package :)

I'm glad I didn't stop looking just at the body only, I found a used package deal (one of those Ritz packages with all the mostly throw-away garbage they like to force on you) for almost $100 less than the cheapest "body only" listing and it was listed as "very good" condition instead of the other's "acceptable"

Can't wait to give it a thorough testing, I'm hoping it'll win me over completely... I was waiting out for the X-T2, but since stock on those is likely to be nearly non-existent for a while due to the earthquake I figured I'd try out the X-Pro2 for now.

Just a quick update on the 55-200 zoom.

I brought my Canon 5d3 w/ 70-200 to the car show but I kept it in my car virtually the whole time.

I used my X-T10 w/ 55-200 for my telephoto needs. It did a spectacular job.

However as I was shooting the GCVW show I bumped into a friend and they told me they got married yesterday. Old habits die hard and nonetheless I pulled my 5d3 and 70-200 for a quick "couples session".

Here's a pic or two from the fuji zoom. I'm extremely impressed.

Now all i need is an HSS/TTL flash that can keep up with my photography style.
