Had the mirror fall out on my 5D on a trip to the Middle East. Came home and sent it to the Swedish Canon service centre. They changed the mirror and (presumably for goodwill) also the focusing screen. Everything, including shipping, free of charge.

Canon. You did this one good!

Nice.

And I've seen posts on threads here that say Canon won't even repair 5d's (for money) any more.
I wonder where those posters got their info from.

She is from Panama, and she likes heeem as far as I can tell (he and I went to HS together). Ha. Fantastically photogenic, despite me having far, far too much to drink…. (Perhaps the exif or beer/wine all over the lens in a previous shot helps paint a picture, lol)

Una mas.

Glad this topic came up, my mirror just popped out this weekend. And I just got the camera 2 weeks ago too! :(

The mirror was supposedly fixed too

I hope Canon in Irvine will fix it, otherwise I'll have to find some place local to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Glad to see many of us still in love with 5Dc. But once in a while, I got completely black image. Is it show that some part of my 5Dc malfunction??

Thanks.

The question you ask is too vague to answer. To diagnose this problem better you should post the photo or the exif data from the photo.

Simplest thing to try is a new CF card and see if the problem continues.

I like the second one here a lot. She's really pretty and happy, and you captured a great expression. :-)

We went to the Renaissance Faire this weekend:

So far, I've had good luck using the center focus for tracking moving things, but done poorly at the outer focus ones.
