This young black bear was just sauntering along, minding his own business. He didn't know I was there until he heard my camera clicking. Then he stopped, and I swear he said "Uh oh!!". He ambled off the opposite side of the road and into the woods, less than 50 feet from where I sat. In my truck. :-)

ya its the best, I have a walk Bren and I do every night over to the pond and down a road and back and as we got to the end of the road tonight we turned around and there was a two year old or so walking behind us, mind you he was back aways and had no idea we were there, it was getting dark so the shot it just that ..a shot, its good living in a critter rich environment. I may post on the 7DII for a joke... iso16000 lol

Thanks folks, much appreciated. I was actually sitting there nosed in to some bushes waiting for kingfishers, so it was a pleasant surprise to see him.

Great shooting, Ian. Bears can be really tough to get a good photo of; they are so blasted black.
