Now I'm in a tall parking garage looking at Harwood and Wenchell Street. On the other side I saw a church.

The other side of that lovely quiet area. And an escalator to the ground floor.

One more look at the area again before going down and some reflections on the stainless wall of the escalator :)

Found some time to edit a few more from the journey home.

First I should start off with a little story about the previous pictures. There is a story (as I find with every trip I take) that will give everyone a good laugh. I have started to kayak and bought a kayak this past spring. I don't have a lot of experience with paddling but brought my kayak with me. I wanted to be able to say I have paddled in the ocean. My friend that put me up for the night used to Dragon boat and said the False Creek area was a good safe area and it would be perfect. There was this neat dock there that had these rollers on them for launching boats. Now I realize not quite the way I thought. As I sit in my kayak rolling towards the water I think this is fantastic. Until I hit the water. My lack of experience and the wrong nature of what I was planning, I ended up going for a swim not a paddle..... oops.

Finally I get myself into the kayak and had a nice early morning paddle and then set off for my drive home. I decided to take the Sea to Sky Highway that was rebuild and upgraded when the Olympics were held in the Vancouver area in 2010. It is a beautiful drive up the coast to a town called Squamish and then on to Whistler. It was home to most of the downhill events and is one of the best ski hills in the world.

On my way up I stopped at a roadside turn out to take a few shots of the inlet that the highway follows. While there this rider was sitting on the barrier enjoying the view and it looked too perfect not to shoot.(It helped me that I am an avid rider and also a huge fan of the BMW S1000rr that he was riding)

I walk to the intersection of Harwood and San Jacinto Street and I see a cop on a trike of sorts. Never seen anything like this!. And just around the corner on San Jacinto I see a sculpture :)

The fountain was really beautiful and the water "danced" to some music, really hard to capture.
