Wow. you are hard to follow Renata. Beautiful shots. I love Graffiti and the fact that the developer opened the are to street artists is fantastic to me. Your tour is awesome. Keep the shots coming.

As for my own tour. Life has been really busy and I haven't edited enough but here is a the last few shots from Sunday's drive. The first shot is of Duffy lake which is the namesake of the road that I am on(which was a beautiful winding road through the mountains). The second is of Seton Lake Reservoir. Standing on the dam that created it.

After a day of driving the light started to fade and entered a gap in the big mountains of the coast and the Rocky Mountains. It became much dryer and the terrain became more hilly then mountainous. Just before I called it a night I pulled over in a remote road as the sky was clear and the stars were vibrant. Nifty took some night shots before calling it a day and finding some sleep.

Trever, thank you.
I applaud the developer to have opened the area to street artists; it makes it vibrant and wonderful. Deep Ellum has a unique personality that is very charming. Not only the graffiti adorns that area. It attractst some small businesses owned by young people. The food they serve in small gorgeous bistros is very healthy and there is not a single chain restaurant. Big YAY to that. I ate a spectacularly healthy sandwich made of home made bread but couldn't photograph in there because the place was very dim. Nifty was not up to that challenge focusing in poor light.

Your landscapes are majestic. Love them all. I wish I could go back to Canada to follow your footsteps. A few years ago we went all across Canada but the kids weer still relatively young and grumpy after hours of driving. We flew back a few times to various places such as Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and all over Quebec but again, we had the kids with us and it was tough at times :)
Keep your shots coming but take your time, please. I know how daunting the task is to be a good and diligent host :)

I have not been a contributor to this thread but have been a loyal follower. I just want to give my appreciation to Renata for all her effort trying to capture Dallas/North Texas with the visiting Nifty.

I am born and bred from this region and I can say she has canvased it well. She has covered areas I was totally unaware of and I have lived in the region on and off for half a century.

Spectacular work Renata ... btw - loved the Traveling Man.

On the way to Deep Ellum I briefly visited Swiss Avenue in the Historic District with its magnificent old homes. I love that street and its old charm.

cool optical illusion on the right-hand tree stump! where does the front tree end? where do the trees behind start? intriguing...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", 1D MK II converted for IR, and now an M5

More of that heaven :) I treated some images with special layers and adjusted them to make them look a little gritty, very appropriate to their heart and soul; at least in my view :)

Joeseph, it caught my attention too, that's why I shot this particular house :)

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw it...and the juxtaposition under the arch was also a reason for framing it that way :)

Trever, it is. Looking forward to it.

Ian, no balloon rides for media people. Nifty will be with me but how many will Nifty shoot is hard to tell. Most shots will be done with a wide angle lens. Thanks

Thank you Annie. I hope the balloons will fly this year. Last year they didn't; the wind was too strong.

US Nifty's trip to Deep Ellum in Dallas.
Great sculpture inside a coffee shop and a bathroom in a restaurant
