Got mine for 1.6k with 8! spare batteries and the grip. Only 35k shots and professionally maintained. I'm a happy lad now

Thank you :) As of sharpness - I used hyperfocal distance calculator and set focus at about 2 feet. Tripod was a must for such long exposure. I took two exposures: one for highlights and another for shadows and blended them together using luminosity masks.

Haven't posted pics of people before, but I couldn't resist sharing this one of an elderly lady getting her morning baguette during my visit to France. It was a candid, unplanned shot. She walked past, completely unaware that I was photographing the canal.

Thanks. OK - I haven't used the Nik HDR ones yet - I'm assuming can use just one image then .... will have a play tonight after work.

Yes, from LR you can export one shot into the NIK. Don't think it works as plug it. Right click on file on the bottom library, select Export>HDR Exef Pro and you're good to go. They have presets but all have sliders on various settings to adjust to taste.

Nice set Rose! Curious what these would look like if you tried the NIK HDR sets. May have to play around a bit but might be able to balance the showdows a bit against the nice skies.

OK - had a go ... haven't played much as really tired after hard day at work. Short staffed and heavy ... and management seem disconnected to reality of it all!! OK rant over ...

The first I also did in SNS, thinks there's ghosting. I do like the clarity of the Nik presets, although have to say have changed my processing slightly as well. I'm thinking they're now too crisp sometimes, but that's another story.

This is the SNS one: all three created using four virtual copies LR then SNS or Efex.

Rest all HDR Efex:

Quite liked this but not entirely realistic:

(

The first (SNS) is very effectful, but less realistic, the second (HDR Efex) is much more natural - I like the second best for 'normal' use :-)

That's a good first effort there Rose. It takes time to play around to make them 'realistic'. Have to be careful not to overdue it or it leads to halo's and/or fringing.
