I ordered a 5dmk4 from progear on thursday, it arrived friday :)

I had ordered through through the website for the RRP, but they gave me the discount that pre-orders have as well.
Cool, get to buy some CF/SD cards as well then :)

Got loaned one to test drive for a a few days. Loving the new functions:

- the new viewfinder is awesome, clear and bright
- the touchscreen works pretty well
- wifi and phone controls is a nice treat
- AF seems improved from the mk3
- normal shutter is quieter and the silent shutter is even quieter

Just need to download DPP so I can convert the RAW files.

Fuji have announces the development of a medium format camera

https://www.dpreview.com …50s-medium-format-digital (external link)

it might be a cheaper way to get in to Medium format photography. Could be a worry to for the likes of Canon and Nikon if the price is the same as a 5Dmk4 etc. Why get that when you could get a larger sensor for the same price.

I was really tempted with the 5dmk4, should have one next month to play with..

but spent the camera budget on a new motor ..

nice angles on these Chris, you look quite close to water-level which I think looks great!

Thanks J :) High spring tide and yep I frightened myself by getting closer to the water than normal. I am not so nimble now :(

Last photo shoot I got this;

Not very happy just now. GLUM :( My ride is a disability van and also garage for my electric disability scooter. Today while out taking wet weather pics, I hit a bump a little hard and the wheel chair hoist moved back a couple of inches (say 50 mm for the more enlightened folk ;) )and punched out the rear window. Today is Saturday in NZ so I am without my ride for a few days. :( It is very wet and cold and I am not at all a happy chappy. To add insult to injury, the 2 pics I took, are not worth looking at either. *Chris lays tummy down on the floor and cries and beats the floor with his feet and fists. *

It might have been worse - first look at the picture & I thought someone had broken into your van & stolen all your camera gear.
Hope it gets sorted quickly...
