This makes me wonder: do you (anyone) take better food photos when you're hungry?

If I'm not hungry before I start photographing the food, I sure am by the time I'm shooting it.
The wine is one of my favorites, Bogle Petite Sirah.

In my case I need to eat first. When I get hungry my blood sugar drops and I get cranky, which isn't conducive to delicate adjustments and expensive equipment. I need to feed before I do a shoot.

Having too much fun in the studio
I make sure to serve a good breakfast and lunch (in addition to snacks that are always out) when clients are in the studio for that very reason. Smelling the aromas that are coming out of the kitchen all day long and looking at lots of food can otherwise get a little distracting! Even when well fed, we often find clients and assistants in the kitchen looking for something extra to eat.
My answer for most photography questions: "it depends...'
In these ones the Gyoza aren't made of kitchen paper....

Great pictures, and I only looked at a couple of the pages so far, hungry or not these pics make you want to eat, and it's past my bedtime. Goodnight everyone and again great pictures.

This post makes me want to take a cooking course. Hahaha. My cooking skills are not worth any pictures.
