I completely missed the migration this spring.

These two from last spring ('15). Won't be missing spring '17 with this lens on the 5D4!

Say, my images keep looking "softened" when I post to this site. Any tips? Do I have to "oversharpen" to compensate?

Have you got any shots from the 500f4 and the 5D4? If so I would be interested in seeing some as I dont seem to be getting anywhere near the image quality with my 5D4 as I did with my 6D..

I haven't even mounted this lens onto the 5D4 yet. I'll take them out this weekend and post some results.

I will be very interested to see some results.....I am getting good results on closer subjets like birds and squirrels but when I shoot subjects that are further away I am disappoined with the results...I was shooting some deer at about 100 meters yesterday and I am struggling to get sharp photos....No amount of MFA seems to make any difference..
Hopefully you will have good results and it is an issue with my lens and not the body....
Look forward to seeing your shots..

Don - since you seem to be having more issues with the 5D4 rather than the 500mm (I'm assuming here since the 6D worked for you), I will post some test shots of the 5D4+500mm combination in the 5D4 thread.

I have owned this lens for a few weeks now and the only regret I have is that I had not bought it earlier! I originally wanted it for my plane and moon shots and I even got my only POTN "best of" feature with it but after looking at your beautiful wildlife shots I decided to go and see what I can do with it, I have to say I am very happy with the results.

Hello Brylek, You will certainly not be disappointed with this great lens. It works really well with the 1.4 and 2 x TC's III. Please keep the posts coming. I'm intrigued on how you took these photo's.If they were hand held at 1/60s you have done remarkably well. Did you use a tripod or monopod?

I'm certain that the majority of you in the U.S have seen this bird often. It is a Yellow Lesserlegs.

I took this photo in the UK (Cheddar, S.W England), it's obviously been lost in it's travels. It is a very RARE bird to see in the UK as only 10 have ever been seen. I was thrilled to get some nice shots of such a beautiful bird. It surprised me how small it was. It attracted a lot of interest. I spoke to a couple yesterday who travelled from Kent to see it and and a family who travelled over 200 miles to see it. It's fascinating to hear what people would do when they are so passionate when it comes to their hobbies. For me I was lucky, it was only 10 miles.

I had to use the 1.4x TC for this and I have heavily cropped the original image.

Thank you for the nice words. All those pictures I posted here so far were either hand held or from a monopod but with the IS still enabled.

Have a great week!
